What Is Worship?

Here at Lakeside, we believe that worship is not merely a song. We believe that worship isn't just something we do at the beginning of every service. We believe that worship is a lifestyle. As we live out our God-given purpose, our very lives produce worship towards God as our Father and Creator.

Every week, we have the privilege of worshipping God in song through the ministry of singing and playing instruments. The scripture has so much to say about this particular way of worshipping God. Here is one scripture that embodies what we do here at Lakeside: Colossians 3:16 (ESV) says “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”

We are incredibly passionate about worship and we count it an honor and a privilege to engage in worship during our services. It brings us great joy to be able to come together as the Body of Christ to worship every week at all of our campuses.

First Wednesday

Sunday mornings are powerful, but they are far from being the only time we should be worshipping God! We take the first Wednesday night of each month to gather at our Oakland Campus and do nothing but worship. That’s why we call our worship nights “First Wednesday”! We hope you’ll consider joining us for a night of praise and fellowship at our next First Wednesday!
